The Dixie State University Library, located in the Holland Centennial Commons, is seeking a Special Collections Librarian and Archivist. Responsibilities of the position include:
- Collecting and processing materials for Special Collections and Archives, as well as the Washington County Utah Regional Repository and serving as a Regional Repository Director
- Providing programming for faculty, student, and public workshops as requested and assigned
- Coordinating digitization of special collections and archival materials in collaboration with the Systems Librarian
- Working with the Dean of the Library to generate grant and fundraising proposals to support Special Collections
- Training and supervising the Library paraprofessional staff and student employees assigned to the Special Collections area
- Serving as a library liaison to assigned discipline(s), providing collection development and instructional support, including creation of subject guides or online tutorials
- Providing coverage at the reference desk; including possible evening and weekend service
- Participating in the library’s information literacy instruction program, and teaching one or more courses per semester online and/or in a blended format
- Serving on campus and Utah Academic Library Consortium committees as assigned
- Participating in professional development, local history meetings, and training workshops
- Other duties, as assigned
